Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or completing a purchase on DeskPort ("Service"), you confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you may not use the Service.

2. Service Description

DeskPort provides invoice management software for interpreters. The Service allows users to upload, track, and manage their job invoices and agency information through a web-based dashboard.

3. Subscription Plans

DeskPort offers the following subscription plans:

Monthly Plan: $14.99 per month, billed monthly
Yearly Plan: $99 per year, billed annually
Free Trial: 3-day free trial available for new users

4. Payment Terms

All payments are processed securely through Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize DeskPort to charge your payment method on a recurring basis according to your chosen plan.

5. Refund and Cancellation Policy

Monthly Plans: You may cancel at any time before the next billing date to avoid future charges. No refunds for the current billing period.
Yearly Plans: Full refunds are available within 7 days of purchase if no significant use of the Service has occurred. After 7 days, no prorated refunds will be issued.
Cancellation Process: To cancel, log into your DeskPort account and select "Cancel Subscription," or email support@deskportview.com.
Effect of Cancellation: Upon cancellation, your access will continue until the end of your current billing period, after which access will be terminated.

6. Data and Privacy

Temporary Storage: Uploaded files (invoices and agency data) are stored temporarily in your browser session only.
No Server Storage: Your invoice and agency data files are NOT saved on DeskPort servers.
Data Deletion: When you log out, all uploaded data is automatically deleted from your browser.
Account Information: Your account information (email, name, payment details) is stored securely and governed by our Privacy Policy.

7. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

Maintain the confidentiality of your account credentials
Keep your original Excel files as DeskPort does not store your data
Use the Service only for lawful purposes
Not share your account with others
Provide accurate billing and contact information

8. Prohibited Uses

You may not:

Attempt to reverse engineer or copy the Service
Use the Service to transmit malicious code or viruses
Interfere with or disrupt the Service
Use automated systems to access the Service
Violate any applicable laws or regulations

9. Intellectual Property

DeskPort and all associated trademarks, logos, and content are the property of DeskPort. You may not use our intellectual property without express written permission.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. DESKPORT DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE FROM VIRUSES.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, DESKPORT SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOST DATA, LOST PROFITS, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION.

12. Modifications to Terms

DeskPort reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes via email or through the Service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

13. Termination

DeskPort may terminate or suspend your account at any time for violation of these Terms. Upon termination, you will lose access to the Service and any data stored in your account.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
